Abstract

The present study was aimed to describe and characterize morphology of nematodes from the rhizosphere of keprok citrus (Citrus reticulata) and siam (Citrus suhuiensis) in the Banjar district. Soil samples were taken at a depth of 0-20 cm or rhizosphere region, followed by the extraction process to separate the soil and nematodes. The nematodes were further processed and mounted on slides. Morphological observation covers the whole body from head to tail. Qualitative and quantitative descriptions were given. The results showed existence of the genus Mononchus; Iotonchus; Mylonchulus on plantations of keprok citrus (Citrus reticulata) and the subfamily Miconchinae on siam citrus (Citrus suhuiensis). Morphological differences were detected regarding locations and sizes of the dorsal and subventral teeth and denticles.
