KUALITAS AIR SUNGAI TUTUPAN KECAMATAN JUAI KABUPATEN BALANGAN BERDASARKAN BIOINDIKATOR MAKROZOOBENTHOS

Abstract


Tutupan river communities used as a source of water, household (MCK) and
plantations as well as the place of final disposal of waste coal. As a impact, a decline of the quality of Tutupan River water . Therefore, an examination of the quality of Tutupan River water by bioindikator makrozoobenthos. Makrozoobenthos samples taken using Ponar grab, then filtered, put into a sample bottle, identified to the family level, calculated abundance, diversity index and the FBI index (family biotic index). Physical and chemical parameters of water were measured such as temperature, current speed, clarinity, pH, DO, TSS, BOD, COD, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, total phosphate and C / N ratio of the substrate. Based on FBI index, the quality of Tutupan River water, into category of good to very with the level of contamination of organic matter lightly polluted to heavily polluted organic material. Family Unionidae and Enchytraeidae is makrozoobenthos who have a high tolerance to changes in environmental conditions , while the Family Corduliidae , Ephemerilidae , Hydropsychidae and Psychomyiidae is makrozoobenthos who have a low tolerance to changes in environmental conditions. In April diversity makrozoobenthos significantly correlated with the degree of clarinity and DO. While in May diversity makrozoobenthos not correlate significantly with the physical and chemical parameters of water were measured.
