RESPON TANAMAN MENTIMUN (Cucumis sativus L.) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG KOTORAN AYAM DAN GUANO WALET PADA TANAH GAMBUT PEDALAMAN
Abstract
The objective of this research was to investigate the responses to the treatment of chicken manure and guano as well as its interaction with cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L.) that were planted on inland peatland. This research used group random design consisting of 2 factors, chicken manure and guano, each had three levels (a1/w1= 5 ton/ha; a2/w2=10 ton/ha; a3/w3=15 ton/ha). Observed and measured parameters were the growth and the harvest of cucumber plants. The result of the research showed that the single treatment of each chicken manure and guano had significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, fruits length and the numbers of fresh fruits per plat, the mass of fresh fruit and the mass of fruit per hectar, however, it did not have significant effect on the age of flowers. The best treatment of chicken manure and guano was 15 ton/ha for each. Nevertheless, the interaction between chicken manure did not significant effects on the two observed parameters.
